SIR’s Semi-Annual Golf Trip October 12, 13, & 14, 2011 SIRS most recent semi-annual golf trip was held at Greenhorn Creek Golf Resort and Saddle Creek Golf Resort located in the foothills of Calaveras country. Our golf outing was filled with fun, adventure, and challenging golf courses. We hope you all enjoyed the natural beauty and the views of the Sierras and the surrounding foothills. Our accommodations at WorldMark by Wyndham at Greenhorn Creek were outstanding as usual. We had dinner at the Camps Restaurant in the Greenhorn Creek Resort on Wednesday and Thursday evening. Good food and wine were enjoyed by all. October 12 – Greenhorn Creek Resort Two best ball tournament was won by Rudy Birnel, Darryl Jones, Chuck Waggoner, and Gene Plevyak with a 21 under par. Our top five tournament leaders after the first day were Steve Jensen, Gary Robertson, Gene Plevyak, and Tom Ranweiler. We had a fiveway tie for 5th place. October 13 – Greenhorn Creek Resort Two best ball tournament was won by Paul Piligian, Grant Beech, Bob Norbutas, and Neal Atchison with a 19 under par. Our top five tournament leaders after the second day were Steve Jensen, Jerry Sanders, Paul Piligian, Jim Light, and Jerry Davis. October 14 – Saddle Creek Golf Resort Two best ball tournament was won by Rudy Birnel, Tom Ranweiler, Bill Shaddle, and Neal Atchison with 33 under par. Our overall “Champion” for our SIRS #125 Golf Tournament for October 2011 was Jerry Sanders with a three day net low score of 211! Neal and I want to give a big “Thank You” to Bob Norbutas for tracking the scores during this event on his computer and to Don Reams for being our official tournament photographer.
